A Pharmacy Technician assists in the operations of a pharmacy. Our program is broken down into two categories: theory and lab. You will spend the first twenty days of the course completing virtual theory. Next, you will have 6 days of lab on campus, where you will get to develop and practice hands-on skills. Once all your requirements and hours have been completed, you will be eligible to sit for the ExCPT or PTCE exam. Once completing your theory and lab hours, you are also now eligible to complete an externship. Essentially, instead of taking the NHA or PTCB exam, you can complete a 120-hour externship at a pharmacy of your choice once it has been approved through WMTC. After completing your hours, you will then be eligible to apply for your license. You can also take either exam and complete an externship! There are a few pathways that you can pursue, and Western Medical Training Center is dedicated to helping you find the best fit!
