Our Online RNA (Restorative Nursing Assistant) program is a 16-hour online program. The curriculum includes video lectures and demonstrations followed by a quiz. The program can be completed in 2 days.
The purpose of the course is to give CNAs comprehensive training in the rehabilitative process to become RNAs. The program describes the rehab team, detailed instruction on the various conditions which affect rehab residents, and the basic care and specialized handling procedures that facilitate resident recovery and maximize caregiver efficiency.
RNAs are Restorative Nursing Assistants and play a critical role in the healthcare sector. With this addition to the CNA license, an RNA is mainly working with patients who need restorative nursing needs which allow them to remain at their highest functioning level. They can provide direct restorative care and delegated therapy tasks including PROM and active ROM, ambulating, special positioning techniques, splints, assistive feeding devices/adaptive equipment, ADL training, bowel and bladder management, restorative dining, and bladder retraining. Duties may also include coaching and assisting regular CNAs in positioning, ROM ambulation, ADL, cones/splints/contracture care, safety device application, appropriate padding and wheelchair cushions, and documenting progress of residents.
RNAs are found in numerous healthcare settings.
